Located on the east coast of the UAE and facing the Gulf of Oman, Fujairah is one of the most picturesque cities in the United Arab Emirates, boasting stunning ocean colors and beaches. It is the perfect destination for nature lovers to relax and enjoy a vacation. Here are two of my favorite places in Fujairah, UAE:
1.Dibba Rock beach & Turtle Beach Bar
The small rocky island, Dibba Rock is one of the famous places for scuba diving and snorkeling in the UAE due to its marine lives, coral reefs. And it is relatively easy for beginners to try scuba diving since it is only 4 to 16 metres deep, and really close to the beach side.
The water around the Dibba Rock area is crystal clear. making it an ideal place to relax while sipping cocktails at the Turtle Beach Bar ( private beach bar inside the Royal Beach Hotel and Resort) offers stunning views of Dibba Rock and the surrounding mountains. And sometimes you might see giant sea turtles around.
If you are looking for more high-quality ocean view hotels to stay around Dibba Rock, Radisson Blu Resort Fujairah and Royal Beach Hotel & Resort are right in front of Dibba Rock are great options with reasonable price.
There are also a lots of amazing beachfront 5 stars hotels and resorts near by, including Address Beach Resort Fujairah, InterContinental Fujairah Resort, Royal M Al Aqah Beach Resort, Fujairah Rotana Resort & Spa, Royal M Al Aqah Beach Resort, Fairmont Fujairah Beach Resort, and Radisson Blu Resort Fujairah.
Great news is, all prices in Fujairah for these 5 stars hotels are way cheaper than in Dubai. So why not stay a night while visiting the beautiful UAE coastal side?

2.Al Aqah Beach
Al Aqah Beach is a unique beach located just a two-hour drive away from Dubai. The Hajar Mountains (The Stone Mountains) in the back and the crystal-clear ocean in the front create a magical and unique feeling that make it a perfect beach for relaxation.
During the nighttime, there is minimal light pollution, which means you can see the sky full of stars on clear days. You might also be able to spot blue plankton, also known as bioluminescence, in the water and on the sand.
Moreover, the beach is an excellent spot to watch the sunrise.
If you plan to stay overnight, there are several 5-star ocean view hotels and resorts at Al Aqah Beach, including Address Beach Resort Fujairah, InterContinental Fujairah Resort, Royal M Al Aqah Beach Resort, Fujairah Rotana Resort & Spa, and Royal M Al Aqah Beach Resort. These hotels offer cheaper prices than same brands in Dubai and more importantly, they provide an amazing ocean and sunrise view!
For a wild, natural, and adventurous experience, camping at Al Aqah Beach offers great conditions and views. You can set up a tent next to your car or even park a van here. Unlike many places in the UAE, camping is legal at Al Aqah Beach (on the left part, not in the hotel area). However, setting up a bonfire is not allowed, and the winds may be strong.
Overall, I highly recommend visiting Al Aqah Beach for its stunning sunrise, crystal-clear beach, and unique landscape.

Frequently asked questions about Dubai UAE
When is the best time to travel to Dubai UAE?
Due to the weather conditions, the best time to travel to Dubai is definitely from October to the end of March, with temperatures ranging from 26-35 degrees Celsius most of the time. This is when outdoor activity-related businesses start operating again and you can truly enjoy outdoor activities such as desert safari trips, visiting the best beach bars in Dubai, kite surfing, exploring themed parks, and more. It is also the time when locals and expats finally feel willing to step out of their air-conditioned rooms for a while.
Why don’t people go out much during the summer in Dubai and the UAE? Because temperatures can rise up to 50 degrees Celsius. It is way too hot and uncomfortable to be outdoors without AC for more than 10 minutes (from personal experience).
When is the best time to go to beaches in Dubai and the UAE?
As summer in Dubai UAE is extremely hot, with temperatures sometimes reaching 50 degrees Celsius, it is recommended to visit the beaches during mid-autumn until early spring (October to March) for the best experience.
I have personally tried visiting Dubai’s beaches during the summer, but the water was so hot that it felt like I was taking a hot bath. Even after 9 pm, the sea remained very warm. Therefore, I highly recommend visiting between October and March.
Beach rules in Dubai and the UAE (if bikini and alcohol are allowed?)
Wondering if it is illegal to wear a bikini or shorts at the beaches in Dubai?
Don’t worry, you can wear a bikini, swimwear, or shorts at the beaches in Dubai, but only in the designated beach areas. You cannot wear them on the way to the beach, which means you still need to cover yourselves properly before entering the beach area.
As for alcohol, you are not allowed to bring your own alcohol to the beaches.
However, you can consume alcohol at licensed bars, hotels, and restaurants like these aesthetic ones.
