Aesthetic & best Taipei Massage Recommendation: Relax 33 Massage SPA and Lounge Review (near Metro Zhongshan Station)
As someone who is pretty picky about massages and has high standards for massage technique, service, and overall atmosphere, finding a great massage place in Taipei that I can fully trust and enjoy is a challenge for me. After trying many massages, I finally found one near Zhongshan Station that truly stands out- Relax 33 Massage SPA and Lounge. In this post, I will share photos of the place along with my honest and detailed review after visiting it five times. I hope it helps you decide if it’s the massage you’ve been looking for.
You can purchase your massage voucher in advance 🔗through this trustworthy platform– it even comes with a slice of cake, pot of tea and self-serve snack bar for you to enjoy. The voucher can be used on the same day you buy it or later (it’s valid for 180 days).
I usually purchase the voucher here first, and once I receive the e-ticket by email, I call Relax 33 to book my time slot and just show up at the scheduled time. At the store, they will scan the QR code on your e-ticket to redeem it, super simple and hassle-free to use it.
Taipei Massage- Relax 33 Massage SPA and Lounge review

Here’s my detailed review of Relax 33 Massage SPA and Lounge, including the treatment package, environment and atmosphere, equipment and facility, therapists’ massage skills, pricing, and location.
1. Treatment package
Rating: 10/10
The whole treatment is just perfect!
I always go for the “Relaxation Aromatherapy Massage 100 Minutes + Afternoon tea” option when going to the Relax 33 massage store, so the below details are based on my experience of it.
Treatment 1: Herbal foot bath

At the beginning of the session, the therapist will guide you to the foot bath area and serve you some warm tea.

You will also get to choose the herbal powder for your foot bath, in addition to the sea salt. Usually, the options are ginger or angelica dahurica powder. I mostly choose ginger in winter and angelica dahurica in summer.
While you are having a foot bath, the therapist will put a warm towel over your shoulders and neck and give a brief massage to help release tension.

You will also get to select a scent of essential oil for your massage, with each option offering slightly different benefits.
Treatment 2: Full body oil massage (aromatherapy massage)
After the foot bath, the therapist will guide you to the massage room.

There are single rooms as well as rooms for two, so if you are going with a friend, you can enjoy the session together in the same room.
Since a full-body oil massage requires removing clothes, the therapist will wait outside the room to give you enough private time to change into the disposable underwear and get ready.
Once you are ready, the therapist will turn on the heated blanket on the massage bed, so when you lie down, it’d feel warm, soothing and comfortable (the temperature can also be adjusted). Later, the therapist will place hot towels on your shoulders, neck, and back again, it’s just so cozy and relaxing.
Next, the therapist will gently release tension in your muscles with soothing pressure before applying the massage oil and starting the full-body massage. In a 90-minute session, the entire body is well-covered, with just the right amount of time spent on each area, it feels perfectly balanced.
You can also let the therapist know if there’s a specific area you’d like extra focus, and they will adjust accordingly. For me, it’s usually my shoulders and neck, since they’re tighter and need a little extra work.
When it comes to the head massage, the therapist will ask if you’d like a warm towel placed over your eyes, it feels incredibly relaxing. If you are not wearing makeup on, I’d highly recommend you give it a go.
At the end of the session, the therapist will give you more warm towels, which you can use to wipe off remaining essential oil or to soothe your shoulders and back one last time.
Treatment 3: Snack time
After the amazing massage, you can enjoy your afternoon tea/snack time in an aesthetic, Bali-styled area at Relax 33 massage place.

The self-serve snack bar offers handmade cookies, soup, kombucha, coffee, and other hot drinks.

With the massage voucher I bought 🔗via here, they even offered me a slice of cake and tea other than the snack bar.
It’s the perfect massage place in Taipei for a “me time” or to spend some healing time with friends.
2. Environment and atmosphere
Rating: 10/10
The environment at Relax 33 Massage SPA and Lounge is really clean and cozy, with a bit of Bali-inspired aesthetic vibe, and soft, soothing, meditation kind of music plays in the background, which can easily make you feel at ease and begin to slow down from the moment you walk in.

The scent of the essential oils smells good and soothing, making the whole experience even more relaxing.
The overall atmosphere is exactly what I look for- calming, healing and thoughtfully designed. If you are looking for an aesthetic and great massage in Taipei’s Zhongshan District, this place is worth visiting!
3. Equipment and facility
Rating: 10/10
Relax 33 is very well-equipped and incredibly thoughtful when it comes to the details.
Not only do they have heated blankets on the massage bed, but the spa also offers shower facilities, foot bathing areas, a spacious and comfortable lounge, and even a snack bar.
It truly feels like a little healing space in the middle of busy Taipei.
4. Therapist’s massage skills
It’s a 10/10 indeed.

After visiting Relax 33 for five times, I can say that the quality of the massage has been consistently excellent. Every therapist I’ve had was professional, and each session left me feeling truly cared for, relaxed and recharged.
Whenever I try a new massage place, the first 5 to10 minutes are usually my “observation period” to see if I can trust the therapist.
At some places, the therapist will press randomly here and there, without really hitting the right points. And sometimes the pressure feels inconsistent, good for a few minutes and off the next. When that happens I start to feel frustrated and can’t relax at all.
Then there are therapists who immediately show they know exactly what they are doing. They’re intuitive, highly skilled, and follow a clear, consistent technique. With them, you instantly feel you can trust them and can completely let go. The therapists at Relax 33 Massage SPA and Lounge definitely are this kind.
I’ve recommended Relax 33 to several Taiwanese and international friends, and the feedback has been positive. Many of my Taiwanese friends keep going back, and a foreign friend also keeps going back whenever he’s in Taipei.
If you are looking for a quality Taipei massage near Zhongshan Station, this is a place I truly recommend. As for a therapist recommendation, I highly suggest therapist No. 31. She’s lovely, incredibly skillful, caring, and precise, and she always finds the exact spots that need to work on. After a session with her, I feel fully relaxed, refreshed, and alive again.
5. Relax 33 massage price
Rating:8.5/10
Compared to other Taipei massage places, the only thing about Relax 33 Massage SPA and Lounge that might make some people hesitate is that they don’t offer 60 minutes treatment. Their full body massage/oil massage sessions all start from 90 minutes, which may feels like spending more money than 60 minutes ones.
That said, if you look at other well-known massage places in Taipei, a full-body oil massage usually costs around NT$1800 to NT$2150 per hour. Broken down, that’s about NT$30 to 36 per minute. Multiply that by 90 minutes, and the total price actually comes out pretty close to 90 minutes oil massage at Relax 33. Some places are even more expensive, yet the overall experience doesn’t feel as good as Relax 33 (purely my personal opinion).
I’ve personally tried quite a few massage places in Taipei. After experiencing different brands, comparing them, and even doing the math, I realised that Relax 33 is still worth it. So whenever I’m really exhausted and need proper relaxation, I always find myself going back as I know I will enjoy the session, feel comfortable the whole time, and walk out genuinely relaxed and happy.
I highly recommend you go too, and I hope you find a great massage therapist here who’s the perfect fit for you!
6. Relax 33 Massage SPA and Lounge Location
Rating:10/10

Relax 33 is conveniently located near Taipei metro Zhongshan Station (red and green line), and it’s just about a 5-minute walk from Zhongshan Station exit 3.
The Zhongshan area is vibrant and easy to reach. With plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby, as well as great shopping options, making it easy to plan a full day around your visit to Relax 33.
You can purchase your massage voucher in advance 🔗through this trustworthy platform– it even comes with afternoon tea for you to enjoy. The voucher can be used on the same day you buy it or later (it’s valid for 180 days).
Wishing you a relaxing, restorative, and recharging massage experience.
