Is the roller coaster Jais Sledder safe?
Jais Sledder may seems wild and thrilling, but the ride was super fun, and I felt safe! You can control the speed by yourself throughout the entire journey, and the instructor at the starting point will inform you how to operate the sledder and advise you on things you need to be aware of.
At first, I thought it was a roller coaster for kids, but it turned out to be more thrilling than I expected. The design is excellent, and I was shaking when the journey finished. Nevertheless, it’s incredibly fun and special ride.
How to safely take photos or video during the Jais Sledder ride?
If you want to capture the entire journey while controlling the speed of the sled, it’s better to bring a GoPro with you and make sure to strap it directly to your body. You can use a neck hold mount, lanyard strap, chest mount harness, or helmet mount to securely fasten the equipment. This way, it will free up your hands, allowing you to safely control the sled while capturing footage. If you don’t have a GoPro or action camera, you can consider using a waterproof transparent phone pouch with a lanyard and wearing it carefully around your neck as an alternative.
But SAFETY FIRST!!!!

If you prefer not to drive, you have a few options. You can take a bus from Dubai to RAK and then hire a driver for the day or take a taxi from RAK to Jebel Jais. Alternatively, you can hire a driver directly from Dubai for a day tour to Jebel Jais. While there, you can also try the super cool zipline at Jebel Jais!
For us, we drove to RAK and stayed for a night at hotel and set off the next day to Jebel Jais. And I think it is a great way, since we could enjoy a bit of RAK city and also we didn’t have to be on the road and in a rush the whole day. For people who drive, I would suggest you do the same too.
