Where to find the best coconut coffee in Hoi An?
The best coconut coffee in Hoi An we tasted is from a cafe called Coconut Coffee Hoi An.

At this coffee shop, you can find the famous Vietnamese egg coffee and coconut coffee. They also make really awesome Vietnamese salt coffee!!! All the coffee here is made with love and passion- I guess that’s why it’s super tasty!!

The prices here are also cheaper than at the popular Cong Ca Phe (Cộng Càphê) chain, and the owner is incredibly warm and welcoming. Although he doesn’t speak much English, he showed me—step by step—how he makes his signature coconut coffee and explained everything using Google Translate. He also demonstrated how traditional Vietnamese coffee is brewed and invited us to try both the local-style black coffee and his salt coffee.

The owner didn’t even want us to pay for the extra drinks he introduced, but of course we did—because every cup of coffee was delicious, and it’s a small, passionate coffee shop that truly deserves support.
Keep reading to see the two must-try drinks we loved the most from Coconut Coffee Hoi An coffee shop, and what makes their coconut coffee so special.
1.Vietnamese coconut coffee
The must try coffee at this coffee shop in Hoi An is coconut coffee for sure!

The difference between the coconut coffee here and the popular Cong Ca Phe (Cộng Cà Phê) is that the owner here even puts the coconut flesh into the coconut coffee. So while tasting the coconut coffee, you also get to enjoy the coconut flesh as well which makes each sip full of texture and flavour. The whole experience is just so satisfying!
My Italian friend Ale and I kept drinking it and were amazed by it. Yes! This coconut coffee even won an Italian’s heart!!! And honestly it was the best coconut coffee ever! We were looking for coconut coffee everywhere in Vietnam after we left this cafe, and we haven’t tasted any cafe that provides a better experience than this one!
What makes it even more special is that the coconut coffee is served in an actual coconut shell, which not only adds to the tropical vibes but also makes it perfect for photos.
2. Vietnamese salt coffee

Another delicious coffee you must try at Coconut Coffee Hoi An coffee shop is the salt coffee- which is made with salt, condensed milk, Vietnamese coffee, cream and milk, and it’s originally from another city in central Vietnam, called Hue.
Just when we were about to finish our coconut coffee, and the owner saw that we really love his coffee, he recommended we must try the special salt coffee. As Ale and I had never tried anything like this before, we couldn’t resist sharing a cup, even though it was already 5 PM (probably not the best time for more caffeine).
The result and thought? We were instantly obsessed from the first sip of this Vietnamese salt coffee. It was creamy, velvety, and just a little bitter from the strong brew. And the salty twist gave it a flavour boost and took it to the next level. Seriously, it’s so good! It reminded me of the sea salt caramel dark chocolate I had at Ghirardelli in the U.S. But even better of course!
I highly recommend you to try Vietnamese salt coffee and coconut coffee at this coffee shop in Hoi An, Vietnam!
