Kedrodasos Beach Crete Guide: How to Get There & Things Free Spirits Will Love To Do

Kedrodasos Beach is a beautiful secluded naturist beach, featuring crystal-clear waters, sand dunes, juniper trees, and even some pink sand. It is a must-visit destination on Crete Island for free spirits who love quieter beaches with less commercial atmosphere, hiking, camping, being in nature, and embracing the opportunity to sunbathe and swim in a natural state. When I went to Kedrodasos Beach, it made me feel like entering a totally different secret world, where everything is serene, spiritual, and people don’t care what others are doing or thinking, just focus and enjoy themselves. I really love this place, if you have a chance to go to Elafonisi Beach, don’t forget to check this beach too, it’s just nearby it.

Is Kedrodasos Beach a Nudist Beach?

Kedrodasos Beach is not an official nudist beach in Crete, but it is nudism-friendly. 

We only knew it when we reached the beach and saw people were very chill and naturally enjoying themselves walking around, swimming, sunbathing without swimwears. This was our first time experiencing a nudist beach, and we were amazed how comfortable, relaxed, natural and beautiful the beach and the vibe was at the beach.

Where is the entrance to Kedrodasos Beach? How to get there?

🔗Kedrodasos Beach is located on the west coast of Crete Island, and just an 8-minute drive from Elafonisi Beach.

As we didn’t see any tour buses going to Kedrodasos Beach when we were there, I believe the only ways to visit the beach are by car or scooter.

To reach the actual beach area, you will need to hike a bit after parking your car. The hike takes approximately 15 minutes, and it’s an easy walk. 

The entrance to the Kedrodasos Beach hiking path is located right at the car park area, and it’s not easy to find (which makes it even more special) – you will need to walk a bit to the right side to find it.

Things to do at Kedrodasos Beach

You can enjoy the natural, relaxed vibe, sunbathing, watching sunset and even skinny-dipping in the crystal clear sea. We also saw people camping at Kedrodasos Beach, which added to the little hippie atmosphere we loved.

Are there any restaurants and bars at Kedrodasos Beach, Crete?

No, there are no shops, restaurants, bars or vendors at all at the Kedrodasos Beach Crete, so if you want to have some drinks, water or food, make sure to bring your own or eat before visiting Kedrodasos Beach.

Hotels near Kedrodasos Beach, Crete Island

The closest hotels to Kedrodasos Beach are also hotels near Elafonisi Beach, and there are only a few, you might want to book it before you visit, you can check the availability 🔗on this trustworthy website, or 🔗this one, they both have different discount sometimes, check which ones are better for you.

We stayed at 🔗Elafonisi Resort by Kalomirakis Family (with free parking) for 2 nights, and really liked the spacious studio, private balcony, and comfortable bed. 

The breakfast was the highlight- lots of options and with Cretan speciality too, and it amazingly came with a lovely sea view to enjoy it with.

What’s more about this hotel is that Elafonisi Beach is conveniently just a short walk away, as for reaching Kedrodasos Beach, you only need to drive about 7 minutes from 🔗Elafonisi Resort by Kalomirakis Family.
